Wok’ n Guys: Reviews & Ratings
I don’t usually go write a review immediately, but this place was straight fire! We split some rose tteokbokki, which was so creamy and cheesy (we loved it) and each ordered individual items. The beef jjajangmyeon is so flavorful it’s hard to cut yourself off from eating all of it. I’d never had jjamppong, but I tried some of my friend’s and must go back for that. The broth was phenomenal. Huge portions all around—we took home lots of leftovers. Also tried their General Tso’s chicken, which was perfectly crispy and saucy. It made me want to try more of their Chinese items. Service was great, we got in quickly, and the food came fast. Only gripe was our drinks took a little long, but they were busy. Super friendly folks. 10/10 will be back soon.
My husband brought me here to try this place, and I’m so glad he did. I ordered the pork jjajangmyeon and the seafood jjambong. I’m not sure how they cooked the jjajangmyeon, but it had an amazing wok aroma, flavorful without being greasy or over sweet. The jjambong is also delicious, nicely balanced and not too spicy. The fried bun with condensed milk is my absolute favorite. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll come back!
Thank you so much! The jjamppong and jajangmyeon here were honestly even more delicious than what I had in Korea. If you’re ever in Portland, you must visit this restaurant and try them — you won’t regret it. I recently moved to California and sadly can’t come back to enjoy this amazing food anymore. But I’ll always remember how comforting and delicious your dishes were. Thank you for every wonderful meal! -Miyeong B.
My husband and I saw this restaurant on Instagram and we had a really nice dinner here!! The restaurant is clean, and the serve lady was really nice and sweet, greeting and instructing us carefully about the food and side dishes. We ordered Black bean noodles with pork, it came out hot, aromatic and really tasty!! The kung pao beef was mild but has it kick!! We were impressed with the amount of veggies and good portion! We ended with Hottok with Ice cream and Oreo, soooo gooood!! Pricing is reasonable, food comes out quick and hot. We’ll definitely come back to try more dishes!
My go to spot whenever I’m craving Korean Chinese food!! The vibes are always warm and welcoming, and the food never misse We had Cold Jjambbong, Yuringi, Fried Rice, Stir-Fried Seafood Jjambbong, and Beef Udon! Everything was sooo good but Cold Jjambbong stole the show
Sichuan pork tangsooyuk ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - love the crunch, it's so good - could have been more spicy Mongolian chicken ⭐⭐⭐ - like the crisp texture - looks like it has good vegetables - not much flavor, kind of just soy and nothing exciting Jjangmeon with pork ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - love the soft noodles - the pork melts - wish it had cucumbers
PDX have been blessed with this 맛집. The food is amazing and it's one of the best Korean/Chinese restaurant in the west coast. I would put this place against any Korean/Chinese restaurants in Korea. The food took some time but the owner behind the wok cares about his craft and will not put out anything mediocre. My family spent 4 days in PDX and tried a lot of the "must" try restaurants but this was by far our best meal in PDX. I don't usually get jealous but damn... I wish we had a place like this in Austin, TX.
Delicious jjajangmyun! Has that flame fire toasty flavor. They have other great Korean dishes as well. We got the pork tangsuyook which is a fried pork with sweet sauce. We get the sauce on the side to keep the meat crispy. We have tried the beef one and that was good also. The fried chicken could have been a bit crispier but they were very busy with orders so maybe it didn’t cook as long or the oil wasn’t as hot? We will try it again. They have other dishes I want to try like the seafood noodle, katsu, and other variations of the jjajangmyun with mosre meat of choice or seafood. Conveniently location just off 217 in Beaverton. We love the jjajangmyun here and will be back for sure.
